Aim of the Game
Before we head further let us first understand the aim of the game.
Indian Fantasy Football EPL will be played 15th August 2009 onwards in sync with matches played in the English Premier League
The aim of the game is to select players weekly who can score the most for you. As explained in detail below, players that you select in your fantasy team score points for you based on their performance in real matches. As the game progresses, you accumulate more and more points. The teams that win the most points stand to win fabulous prizes. What's more, there are tons of attractive prizes for monthly winners too!

Register to Play!
Get into the driving seat! All you have to do is to register yourself using a valid email id. As soon as you do that, you are all set for an experience of a lifetime.
The best is if you have already registered for any other game on IFL – be it cricket/ tennis/ golf – you do not need to register again. Just login with your credentials and create your team.
Then you get to name your team. And if you want, you can give it your own slogan and a description too. Your team will even get its own page where others can come and watch your team's performance. At the end of each match week, the scores for your players and team will be updated. Ranks for top registered teams will also be displayed.
So just sign up and get hooked to the latest football frenzy… watching football this season is going to be a lot more exciting!

Get going - Create your Fantasy Football Team!
Once you’ve successfully registered for any game on IFL, you can login with your Username and password and go right ahead to create your winning football team!

Team Management
This is where you get to select a team of your choice. You will see the complete list of teams and players participating in the matches, from this list you can choose 11 players that you think will perform the best.
Each of them will readily play for your team but they come at a price. To begin with you are provided a credit pool and you can buy your team using these credit points. The cost of each player has been determined by our panel of experts and is also shown in credits.
Whenever you take on a player in your team the amount you pay for him gets debited from your credit pool. When you remove a player from your list the cost gets credited back. But there is a catch – the player costing is ‘Dynamic’, which means the cost of the player changes with his performance in every match – he does well, the cost goes up and he doesn’t do well the cost goes down! To select your team, start by choosing the formation you would like for your team. You can choose from the following:
4-4-2 (4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards) plus a goal keeper
4-3-3 (4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 forwards) plus a goal keeper
3-4-3 (3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 3 forwards) plus a goal keeper
Next, simply drag and drop players from the list to the correct position on to the play field. Just make sure the player positions are correct else they won’t stay!
To remove any player from your selection, click the ‘remove player’ link.
Save your changes and submit the team. Make sure you select your team at least one hour before the start of the first match very Saturday so that the changes can become effective and your team can participate.

Transfers
You, as the manager have a right to unlimited transfers – but you cannot use more credits than you have in your kitty. Further, Indian Fantasy Football EPL is played on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. To become effective the transfers have to be done at least one hour before the start of the first match on a Saturday. The team thus saved becomes your active team for that week’s matches.
On transfer of players, the current market value of player will be applicable and an equal amount of money will be either credited or debited from your kitty.
Transfer window for every week will open once all matches of that week have been played. Often, there are matches played on Monday and Tuesday, in which case the transfer window will open the following morning. During the game weeks when there are no mid week matches, the transfer window will open on Monday morning. In case you do not change your team, your last active team will be carried forward.

Your Team’s Past Performance
To review how your team performed in any given match week, simply go to View My Team and select the Match Week. You will get to see both the formation you had selected for that Match week as well as how your team performed.

Player Performance
As the game progresses, you surely would like to review the performances of players in matches up to that point before deciding on selecting them in your team. You can do that by going into the Player Statistics section. Simply select the match week for which you would like to see their performance and you will get the scores they earned on Indian Fantasy Football.

At the end of each Match Week, the points will automatically be updated and the new team positions will be displayed within a short time.
You can also view the scores for other teams just like others can view yours! So how about challenging your friends to beat your team scores!

Prizes
Indian Fantasy Football EPL will give out both monthly and overall prizes. The only condition being that a user will be eligible to receive only one prize. If a user qualifies for more than one prize, he/ she will be given the prize of higher value while the other prize will pass on to the next eligible winner.

Prize Distribution
- Monthly Winners on IFF will be eligible for a monthly prize of all three values - First, Second and Third
- If a winner has won the Monthly First Prize he will be considered for the Overall Prizes only
- In case a winner receives the Second or Third prize he will remain eligible for the prize of maximum value
- Winners will be considered separately for Overall prizes and could include a monthly winner. However, the winner will be given only one prize of same article (if won twice) and that of higher value.
- Overall Winners will be considered separately by accumulation of maximum points played over entire season / tournament.
- Repetition of winners already awarded a prize on the Leaderboard during a month will result in the winner being given the prize of higher value.
- User must enter a valid email address to be eligible for prizes. If the user does not respond to within 21 days of our communication the prize stand forfeited.
- Prize distribution will take place after the conclusion of the season / tournament and after information is sent to the winner of their having won a prize.

Late Registrations
Just in case you have reached us after the start of Indian Fantasy Football EPL on August 15th, don't worry. As the old saying goes, better late than never! You can still be part of the most exciting online fantasy football game.
You can still register and build your own fantasy football team and get points for matches you could not play. For every match that you missed, you get will get average score earned by the playing teams in that particular match.

Winning:
- The teams with the maximum points after each month and/or at the end of the game will be declared winners.
- In case of a tie, the team that has been created earlier will be declared winner.
- In the unlikely event of a tie in all the above two, the winner will be declared by our panel of experts. Please note that the decision of the panel will be binding.
- Team Managers are eligible to win only one prize. In case the winner of any month is also adjudged the winner of another month, he/she will be awarded the prize of higher value, while the other prize will be awarded to the next eligible winner.
- All prizes will be given at the end of the game - when the league concludes!
